Managed Voice Services View / Print (PDF File) This option is identical to the Private Solution with VoIP and Remote iPBX in that the iPBX server is off-site in a secure data center. The iPBX is shared with other customers of the hosting service, while ownership of the handsets remains with the customer. The cost of service is based on the number of extensions used. Benefits In smaller implementations with limited growth potential, the Managed Voice Service option is the most cost effective. If your business is intending to expand in the future, a Hosted option permits the implementation of the infrastructure required for a larger solution without the commitment of purchasing the iPBX server. Switching to one of the other options does not require replacement of any on-site equipment, only an expansion to include an on-site or off-site iPBX unit.
